The story

Craft is learned. Elegance is built.

My story with tailoring began long before Alex Villom existed.

I grew up alongside my father, watching him make trousers, handle alterations and run his own business. Among fabrics, machines and clients, I learned, almost without realizing it, the first codes of this craft.

As a teenager I began taking measurements, learning about fabrics, choosing linings and understanding how a garment could change completely when it was well constructed. In time, I also learned to sew and to work with my own hands.

I studied Business Administration and for a time tried other paths. But I always ended up returning to the place where I truly felt at home: tailoring.

When I returned, I discovered that knowing the craft wasn't enough. I also had to learn to value the work, build a company and, above all, understand what it means to make something truly exceptional.

They were years of searching, mistakes and learning, until I discovered a new way of looking at tailoring: European tradition, artisanal work, exceptional fabrics and an elegance that doesn't depend on trends.

In 2022, Alex Villom was born in San Isidro, Lima.

We started with a small family of artisans, led by my uncle, with a classic way of working inherited from years in the craft. On that tradition we began to build our own vision: timeless garments, precise proportions, extraordinary materials and a close relationship with each client.

Since then, the path has led us to discover houses, fabrics and artisans in Europe, but also to understand something far more important:

true luxury lies not in what is shown, but in what is felt.

Today, Alex Villom represents that pursuit. A Peruvian tailoring house born from a family craft, built through years of learning and guided by one simple obsession:

making every garment as if there were no second chance to make it better.

And this story is only just beginning.

The origin

Alex Villom was born in Lima from a desire to develop a contemporary expression of tailoring, built around the individual rather than a trend.

From the start, the pursuit has been the same: to create garments where proportion, material, construction and personality form part of a single composition.
